In dense and developing communities, seasonal health hazards—such as monsoon dengue outbreaks, post-flood waterborne infections, and winter viral surges—disproportionately impact vulnerable and low-income families. Faced with high specialist consultation fees, many patients postpone or forego essential medical care until conditions become life-threatening.
To bridge this healthcare divide, Shilmoon Specialized Hospital established the Free Medical Camps Programme as part of the philanthropic community vision of Mohammed Tajul Islam. Rather than an ad-hoc event, this initiative is conducted on a systematic, planned schedule 2 to 3 times every year to provide timely medical relief and preventative guidance to the underserved.
